Most companies in our market run a "clean and seal." We treat your pavement as an engineering assembly — substrate chemistry, aggregate physics, and humidity control, in that order. Here is the abbreviated version of what happens on your driveway.

Step 01

Substrate Pre-Treatment

Buffered organic acid — never raw muriatic — dissolves the calcium-carbonate efflorescence that fogs Florida pavers. Pre-wet, agitate, neutralize to pH 7. Without this step, sealer bonds to salt instead of stone and peels within a year.

Step 02

Joint Evacuation & Refill

185 CFM tow-behind air compressor evacuates joints to 1–1.5″ depth. Refilled with ASTM C144 / C33 angular sand — washed to under 1% fines — consolidated by vibratory compactor with a urethane-mat shoe. Sand level finished 1/8″ below the chamfer line for a crisp shadow reveal.

Step 03

Thermal Moisture Mitigation

High-BTU propane torches sweep the surface to drive deep moisture out of the substrate before sealer touches it — the Florida climate is the leading cause of sealer "blushing." This step also incinerates weed seeds, fern spores, and surface biologicals.

Step 04

Two-Part Urethane Flood Coat

Industrial 2-part urethane — Trident Hurricane Cat 5, Cobble Loc, or SealThane depending on substrate — mixed to lab spec, flood-coated to glue the angular sand into a mortar-hard column. Spray-and-back-roll for the flat sections, leaf-blower technique on textured stone. Slip-rated micronized polymer grit added on request.
